Additional
Certification
Educators
who already hold a Texas certificate may register for and take
any additional content exam and upon receiving a passing
score on that exam, may apply to SBEC to have that content added
to their existing certificate. The certified educator does not
need a bar code or permission to test from a university.
This additional certification by exam is for classroom content
only. It does not apply to professional certificates- Standard
Principal, Standard Counselor, or Standard Superintendent.
