International
Opportunities
Expanding international education for students is a major
emphasis at TCU. The College of Education is dedicated to ensuring
that students have many opportunities for international experiences.
These international experiences increase understanding
of other cultures, helping students become better teachers and better
citizens.

Students
in the College of Education can participate in the many
Study Abroad programs at TCU or experience student teaching in one of
many countries.
Imagine
the excitement of boarding a plane on the way to a foreign
country to teach for six weeks. Student teaching is available in Canada, Mexico, England,
Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the |
Netherlands. There are so many opportunities
to live and learn in another country, it will be hard to choose
where to go. It is an experience that students never forget
and one from which they return with a new dedication to children
and innovative teaching ideas.
The College of Education is a member of The European Teacher Education
Network that includes teacher preparation institutions from
many
European countries and has lately expanded to include the United
States, Israel, and Macedonia. This network offers the possibility
not only of student teaching in many countries, but for students
from these countries to attend and broaden their TCU experience
by staying in Fort Worth, and also for faculty exchanges
between countries to broaden their experiences.
