Teaching Responsibilities
I teach graduate courses in Educational Psychology, Assessment, and Educational
Research, and a seminar for graduate interns seeking initial teacher
certification. On a less frequent basis I teach undergraduate Educational
Psychology.
Research Interests
I have maintained a long-standing interest in cognitive learning strategies,
currently focusing on concept mapping and metacognition. Also, more
recently I have combined my activities as research coordinator of a
professional development school project (1992-1995) and director of
field experiences (1995-present) with studies of preservice teacher
beliefs about teaching in urban schools, and research on student teacher/cooperating
teacher relationships.
