School of Education Responsibilities

I am Director of the College of Education Career Center. My duties include presenting workshops on seeking a teaching position, interviewing skills, and what to do as a first year teacher. I am also responsible for the Monday at TCU (School of Education) program, recruiting for the teaching profession, maintaining placement files, and setting up interviews for our students with school districts.

I teach EDUC 3143 Child and Adolescent Development and EDUC 3123 Educational Psychology in the summer session. During the Fall and Winter semesters I supervise student teachers and/or teach EDSE 5013 Instructional Planning or EDSE 3163 The Adolescent Learner in Schools.

I serve as the liaison for the College of Education's Alumni Board and the College of Education's Senior Mentor Program.

I am the advisor for the TCU chapter of the Texas Student Education Association and the TCU chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society.

Professional Service

I present many workshops and in-service programs in both public and private schools across the state. Topics include: Motivational Games and Activities for the Classroom, Parent-Teacher Relationships, The Superstar Teacher, and Classroom Management.

Personal Information

I am a BIG Horned Frog Fan. I attend University Baptist Church. I am a veteran Casa Manana Musicals season ticket holder. I am a faculty/staff participant in each year's Frog Camp.
