Spanish, speech communication and theatre. In addition, students
may pursue certification in Special Education and English as a

TCU produces excellent teachers in all areas with an emphasis on
urban education, special education, mathematics and science education
and leadership preparation. Our faculty members and students work
cooperatively with school systems and participate in many forms
of international education. Evaluations of graduates by supervisors
and employers confirm these findings. For example one principal
said, "TCU
is producing high-quality teachers through its excellent teacher
education programs."
Texas Christian University is proud of the success of our students
and the strength of our teacher education program. Our graduates
continue to work in many, diverse schools using their talents,
skills and knowledge to lay a strong educational foundation for
their pupils. As we look to the future, TCU will begin a new set
of programs for teacher certification as required by new state
standards. Our new programs in early childhood through grade 4,
middle school, and secondary teaching include high levels of collaboration
with local districts and schools.
