Throughout our history, our undergraduate and graduate programs
have been designed to be unique, personal, and effective. Today,
TCU students become teachers who can promote high student achievement.
They are experts in both content knowledge and effective teaching
- their skills in technology, planning, teaching, and assessment
are unsurpassed. Education graduates provide service and leadership
in diverse settings, ranging from local to global communities and
continuously seek to improve schools, other professional settings,
and society.
And no matter what environment children grow up in - or the level
or unique nature of their abilities - TCU graduates learn to apply
all they know so that each and every child learns. We do not just
believe that all children can learn, we prepare educators who ensure
that all children do learn.
TCU education students learn their profession in a field-based curriculum,
rich in technology, centered on people, and grounded in time-tested,
data-based theories and practices. The goal? To make a profound difference
in today's difficult world. A lofty idea to some but this vision
underlines the College of Education's continuing mission:
To develop effective, ethical educators with a passion for learning.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to explore the College of Education
at TCU.
Sincerely,
